    Hello all,

I have been working on selling my truck and the roof just started pealing/chipping last week. It has quickly gotten worse and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations. I do not want to put too much money into repairing this since I am getting ready to sell it. Any recommendation would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Sand it really good and do a vinyl wrap in matte black on the roof. Use a DA sander or electric and cover everything between the roof rails. Wow, I can't believe an 05 would look that bad... I'm gonna go out and wax my roof right now.

Yeah that looks really bad. When you wash it ever miss the top? Soap and other things just left on the top of the truck. Will eat it.

I have had it washed really well in the past and used to wax it pretty often, no idea why it would have happened.

Luckily I have a pretty good sander I could try and use, just afraid to make it worse before selling it. But I imagine this lowers the resell value pretty badly.

Any recommendations on where to get vinyl wrap in matte black?

And thank you for the posts!!

Sign shops, they can sell you rolls pretty cheap. Just start at one corner and work your way to the other side then trim. Allow excess on all sides as you stretch and apply the vinyl.

Why not just take it to a local body shop, and have the roof repaired, and re-painted? It's just a roof, quick and easy repair. Probably just be a couple hundred bucks.
