im sorry im just so damn confused with all these diff damn settings grrrrr,no off roading for me since im a prerunner, i just want to fit 285's with a nice meaner stance....so im guessing somewhere around 2.5 to 3" of lift what will be the best way to get this 5100's set at o with 885's? and still have a decent ride

That's the set up I have and it rides good. Mines a little harsher because I run E-rated tires. If you arent planning to get armor you might want to think about going with 884's.

Go with Maxtrac spindles and leave your coils and shocks alone, you're a Prerunner. You will get 3.75-4" of lift to clear the 285's and your ride will be stock. In the back do an AAL and call her done.

Maxtrac spindles sell for $511 and AAL are really easy on the wallet.

Or you can preload the coils with the shocks to clear bigger tires, but your truck will ride like shit.

I searched and could not find the answer i was looking for.

What is the difference between the regular 5100's and the RCD 5100's?
    different valving?
    which is better for offroading?

    thanks!

The RCD and Bilstein 5100's are the same shocks.
Bilstein Private labels the shock for RCD, but the shock is still stamped
    Bilstein.
Bother versions will give you the same performance on and off road.
    Hope this helps..

About to pull the trigger on the 5100's! :yay:

Just a bit confused on which rears are in stock and back order? Is the opening link for the set of 4 the standard rears or the +1"? I'm still mixed about doing .85 or 1.75. So I'm unsure which rears I will need?

May try to get the rear leaf tsb approved before ordering.

    Good morning,
If you have a non-tsb and a 1" AAL or just a non-tsb and no AAL or a TSB and no AAL then you would run standard rear 5100's..(0"- to 1.5" Lift) # BE5-C478-T0 or the Bilstein # BE5-C476-H0.

If you have a TSB and a Rear 1.5" AAL then you would run the (3"-to 4" Lift) ones # BE5-B110-T0 and you would need to modify your bumps so the shock did not bottom out before the suspension does. These are on back order until Feb. 2013

    Hope this helps...
    Sonny

Ok so I don't plan to go any higher than 1.75 in the front and maybe an inch in the rear whichever method (tab/aal/block) so the one listed in the package for $299 is what I should need and that one isn't the one on b/o, correct?

I'm only phone right now so it's hard to use the web site.

Was going to wait to call to confirm when y'all open back up but may go ahead with the order online as long as I'm sure I'm ordering the right stuff.

What is the difference between these two part #'s?

    Good afternoon,
Yes always a good idea to have the alignment done when you change the vehicles ride height...

    Can't wait!

Thanks. One more question, When going with a 2in AAl which rears should be used the ones for 0-1.5" or 3"-4"?
