Need rear suspension info
Hey Sonny, I purchased the front 5100's for my 08 Taco & had Toyota install them. I asked them to level my truck & my truck is now higher in the front and about 1-1 1/2" lower in the rear. Before I return to ask them to "level" out the front (again), do you have any suggestions for raising the rear of the truck so it is now level with the front? Preferrably something other than blocks. I somewhat like the height of the front the way it is. Not sure if I should add another leaf (& I have the tsb mod) or get longer shocks. What would you suggest? Thanks for the time & info.

Toytec AAL for TSB
That sounds like the perfect answer. My rear shocks are stock, can I use the stock shocks with the Toytec AAL for TSB or should I upgrade the shocks? I'm concerned about length of shock & stock shocks being able to handle bumpy roads with new rear height. Thx for the Toytec info.

That is a notable concern. Hopefully someone else can address that, but here is the product from toytech

Good morning,
I see that another gentleman replied to you and he is correct.... Toyotec does offer an AAl that will lift the rear and it will be right around the 1 1/2" mark as far as lift....After you install the AAL along with the TSB you already have done...I would get a ride height measurement from mount to mount with the truck sitting there under its own weight...Just to be on the safe side...Most likely the stock shocks will be to short at full droop and you will need to run an aftermarket shock that has a little longer collapsed and extended dimesion by about 1.75" at full extension and around 3/4" to 1" at a collapsed length.... Let me know if there is anything that we can help you with.... Thank you, Sonny Quote:

Since I purchased the front 5100s from you, Sonny, do you have any recommendations for the rear shocks? Also, do you sell them? Once I get all the parts, do you have a local shop in SD that you recommend? Thank you very much for the info, much appreciated.

Good morning,
Yes the Bilstein 5100 series rear shocks...BE5-C476-H0 or the RCD part # BE5-C478-T0 will both work in the rear with up to 1.5" of lift.... I see that you are located in Oceanside????? Let me know when you have a chance and I might have someone I can refer you to in North County.... Thank you, Sonny
