    I was wondering why there are remote resi click adjustable compression adjuster King front coilovers and rear shocks for the FJ but not the Tacoma. They appear identical. I was also wondering how they accomplished those adjustments vs your actually changing the valving by swapping washers/shims. A final question is what is the difference (what are you getting) in the $200 option for shocks designated for use in a "lifted" vehicle.

    I know the 5100 bilsteins are valved for tacomas,4 runners, and fjs. I would think it's the same for kings.

    Maybe the ones for lifted trucks are extended travel. That's my guess.

    $200 for a slightly longer rear shock is pretty steep if thats all there is to it.

    Also not noticing a difference for Icon or Fox coilovers for use with after market control arms.

    Actually the compression adjusters are available for the Tacoma, we are just waiting for King to release an updated part #.It should be a 25001-119-A and a 25001-A if there number system stays the same.
    The adjuster has a needle in it that meters the flow of fluid through and orifice and the depending on where you have the adjuster set will determine the amount of force it takes to move the fluid and compress the shock.
    Lifted rear applications are a longer shaft and body and it falls more under a custom shock application as far as the rear shocks are concerned since the rear FJ and Gen.2 Tacoma's are a stem top application and fall out of the norm as far as an off the shelf shock that would be standard eyelet to eyelet mounting.
    The front lifted applications are a longer shaft (usually has to be custom made) and an external shaft spacer between the lower spring plate and the rod on a Replacement OEM Front coil-over type shock such as an FJ or Tacoma..

    Thanks for the explanation. Is this item something King offers or is it something you guys are fabbing by starting with a generic shock and swapping fittings on ends, adding spacers, and custom valving?

    No, it is a part direct from King and most of the time is a build to order.

    I just ordered some of these, Ill let you know how they come out. From what I know they have been tested in the baja 500 and perform flawlessly. I even rode in a truck with them and they are amazing
