Good to start them young. I have pissed off my ex getting him interested more & more in rock. She likes country & he is a rocker like his Dad! :D

When my son was 3 in the carseat. We would listen to White Lion, Whitesnake,Krokus,Jackyl, Def leppard & such. One of the white lion songs starts out with a slow guitar rif, and gradually builds. He would get ready for that song by leaning forward & grabbing the arm rests. When the song was full on, he would start bobbing his head like a true rock fan. It was funny as hell & we didn't know where he saw it. or if he was just feeling the tunes.

That's what my mom use to say when I was a teenager and she'd see the album covers (remember those) of Motley Crue Shout at the Devil, Iron Maiden Killers, etc.

Whoa whoa whoa...I am NOT by any means a newbie to metal. I've been listening to it on and off since the early 90's. But I've recently made it my main source of adrenaline:D. Meshuggah is one of my 'ol standbys. Theory In Practice is new to me, but I tried to start the thread off with something that everyone who liked hard rock could get into.

You and I should roadtrip to Kentucky (mid-distance between Jersey and Texas AND the best bourbon in the country) and talk good music. You have good taste, sir.

Hells yeah! My next dog will be named Fatty Ding Dongs.

    RIP Lucy.
    She's gone but not forgotten.
Cut my teeth on Foghat, Frampton, Aerosmith, Thin Lizzy, Alice, and KISS. Been metal ever since, but I like the older stuff mostly (not saying the new stuff ain't excellent).

Starting to get into country now, it's a when-in-Rome thing. But I'll still treat the neighbors to some Zep when the mood hits.

After months of testing, it has been determined that
the desired effect is achieved at a loud volume.

Perhaps one of my favorite songs ever.

I've been getting really into Pantera lately. I used to listen to them casually but in the last month or so they have really became one of my most listened bands.

Pantera has been one of my favorites for a long time.

About 3 years ago, I had the rare opportunity to talk to Vinnie Paul. He just happened to come to the same strip club as me and my friends. We had the sweet spot table, right at the end of the main stage. I got up to get a drink, my buddies apparently got up and left the table completely unattended. When I returned, Vinnie Paul and his entourage had seated themselves.

"Hey! You guys stole our table."

Then Vinnie turned around and before he could say anything, I said

"Holy shit! Vinnie Paul! He looked up and explained that the table was empty, and we were, in his own words "Shit out of luck."

Long story short, we moved. In retrospect, I should have taken a swing at him just to say that I did.

I know for sure that two of those are movies, one is misspelled, and the last sounds like a rejected James Bond title.

For the two that aren't movies, I'll look them up.

    EDIT:

I looked up Every Time I Die, and they're pretty kick ass from the few songs I heard. I like how the lead singer almost screams like a Hardcore band guy, but you can still understand him completely.

No offense, but all of those bands are terrible IMHO (with the exception of Every Time I die).
