According to Dana White we can start looking forward to Silva vs GSP providing GSP wins his next fight and comes out injury free of course I would like to know what you guys predict for this bout. Personally I say Silva but you never know.

GSP is giving up too much weight, but I hope he wins.

I would like for GSP to win, but I don't think its a good match for him.

Silva has this easily. I would rather see silva move up to LHW Before he retires.

I like gsp more, but both are great fighters, gsp has his work cut out for him if the fight happens!

15lbs is a big deal when it's solid muscle..

Just to throw my thoughts out there....

    GSP is freaking awesome.
    Silva is amazing.

HOWEVER, they are in 2 different weight classes. I would prefer if they stayed in those classes that way we can seem them both dominate for a long time. Just like in the old days of pride when they had a little fighter fight a big one and win it was a crowd favorite, but in this case it doesnt really do much for me. I know they are both insanely gifted, and if gsp or silva wins all that does is prove they are that much better. However it doesnt prove anything for the class they are in, so unless silva fights at 135, 145, 155, 170, 185, 205, and Heavyweight, saying best fighter is really only relevant to that class. I would rather have him fight at 205 where his body is actually challenged and he is not going to be guaranteed a win because of size or length.

I would much rather start seeing MMA guys go against specified athletes like boxers, grapplers, wrestlers and so on. That would be a real test.

Hear from where I watch everything thats UFC and haven't heard that it wouldn't be a bad idea though after he beats Jake shield the division is pretty much cleaned out until they sign more people but the silva vs GSP fight isn't even in the planning stages yet and I haven't heard anything from Dana White about GSP moving up.

The fight will most definately be advetised as seeing who the best pound for pound fighter is and thats what the fight is all about, you have these guys not far apart in weight dominating and thats just that if gsp dosen't cut weight he will probly be walking around at that weight and it won't affect any performance. As for the other we have seen some of the other sports come in and fight not alot but some the fact is unless they work on all aspects of fighting they might win 1 or 2 but they won't go far.
