I am just happy I never gave them my credit card info... My friend did, he has had all kinds of charges on his card. Sounds like a major pain in the ass. I am going to wait a little while to go back on.

i think your friend might be fibbing a bit. When the "hackers" were given a chance to state a response they said it was just a poke/proding to let sony know they are their and some other crap. They did not steal and CC info(atleast they say). Their was a whole interview done with the anonymous group that did it. The group in fact is called anonymous. Lol

He really doesn't have any reason to lie to me (we have been friends since we were 6). All I know, he has had multiple charges on his CC since Sony had their network hacked. He has been dealing with the CC company to get them cleared.

I am getting quite a bit of Spam email from the account I had linked to the PlayStation Network since the Hack. Before then, I had none. I have a feeling they aren't disclosing everything they could be....

With that said, I trust that Sony is going to make the Network secure again, but disappointed they left it so vulnerable.

They didn't leave it vulnerable. It's just that, if a hacker /REALLY/ wants to get into something, they can and will get into it if they have the right skills.

Now, I read that when they found out about the "breach" it wasn't immediate. It was when a few of their servers started showing some errors and shutting down is when they noticed it. NOT when it really happened. So they may have hacked into it a month before they had figured it out. And when they hacked into it, they cleared the logs of them showing that they were in the initial system in the first place.
