Still..so fun. Love it. Loved COD4 too. Played that a LOT. But for some reason wasn't big in the states or all the servers i played on always just had European people on it haha Loved playing Sabotage on COD4. Had some BIG scores with that.

 

Anyone play Portal 2? I really wanna play the CoOp stuff..

 

Been wanting to try portal 2. I just got into the campaign for dead space 3.

 

Dude Portal 2 is fun..great game. I just replayed it.

I have Dead Space 1..never finished it though..freaky game..good one though. Can't believe they are on 3 now haha think a movie is coming out too..

 

I'm only like 10% into the campaign, I have a problem with running out of ammo. The guns kind of suck when it comes to actually killing anything.

Have any of you guys tried space engineers yet? I have actually purchased it, but I am really excited for the developers to add more to it.

Never heard of either of those, but half life 2 episode 2 is a freaky game, played it a few years ago at my cousins house late at night, had nightmares that night from it.

 

Dude..Half Life 2 is amazing..all of the episdoes are dope. Portal is supposedly gonna tie into Half life 3...if they EVER MAKE IT!!!

Dead Space is like more of a horror thing then game..its really well done. Play that in the dark..haha

Also..IMO..every PC gamer needs to own HL2..all of them..seriously..so good.

 

Guess my laptop doesn't like TF2 very much. Super laggy...

 

lag usually has to do with your internet then the computer..Not much to TF2 really..

I liked it, it was just odd for me (~14 at the time) to see the zombies on fire, screaming and running at you, it was really the first M rated game i ever played (or saw played).
I could've bought his steam account for $30 right after he got married, but i didn't (stupid decision) it had :Call of juarez: bound in blood, half life 2 episodes 1 and 2, and a couple other games i don't remember.

I'll check out dead space on youtube.

 

my computer lags some, but the lag goes away after i play some. (4 core i7, 8Gb ram)

3 HL2 games..all very good.

Dead Space is hard to play..you move very slowly and even run slowly(on purpose). Not my total type of game..but still fun.


What kinda systems does everyone have? I have a pretty big monster PC but its pretty out dated by today standards...still eats up every game i throw at it though..

 

Dead space looked a little weird, not my kind of game, and i just saw the trailer for HL2, and it looks pretty neat.

I mainly play age of empires and joint ops, typhoon rising.

Mac (run of the mill MBP with the base CPU but upgraded RAM)
Pc: single core CPU (2.? ghz) 2gb RAM and a 1GB video card (i want to go at least dual core CPU, but the it's a 32 bit OS so i'm limited on RAM, so i'll probably end up building a quad core AMD machine with 64 bit W7)

i also HATE AMD and ATI..everytime i use one..shit..Intel and Nvida for me..

I have a quad QX9750 ES overclocked to 4.1Ghz on air cooling with 4 Gb of DDR3 at 1600mhz. Dual GeForce 460s 2 Gb MIS's with big ass coolers overclocked to 822mhz. Dual Raptor 10,000rpm HDs in RAID 0 stripped. all in an Antec 1200 case.

Need to redo my HDs though and get more space big time..

 

I really like intel also, just the prices i'm not to keen on, never had a chance to compare ATI and Nvidia, but the video card in the PC is a Nvidia.

Sounds like you've got a decent setup, hows the reliability with the overclocking?

 

been okay..its a VERY different processor..its and Engineering Sample..so like one from Intel directly that was used for testing..so it OC's very well. Plus on top of that..its a rare processor. Back in the LGA775 and LGA1156 socket days..the Core 2 Quads where the thing. The QX9770 and QX9775 i believe where top dogs, but where LGA1156. Can't remember the top LGA775 socket proc..but the idea was. Lets make a proc that is as fast as the QX9775 Black edition..but fits the cheaper LGA775! Yay! Thus..the QX9750 was born(what i have). But, by the time it was ready. i7 stuff was launched and they bagged the whole thing.

Don't ask how i got one..id have to kill you.....not really. But i won't tell

so that said..

Overclocking was pretty chill. I was gonna go all water cooling too. My Motherboard even has ports for the NB and SB to be OCed. But..didn't get into it..so..whatever. Used the Noctua Dh14 or something..basically..the biggest damn air cooler you could get..weighs like a full kilogram haha! and went to town.

Had it up to 4.5 but wasn't super stable..

been at 4.1 forever now..no issues..so..not complaining..haha my GPUs max it out still so..whatever..


I had dual ATI something or others before my Nvidias. They were so freaking hard to work with. Crossfire didn't work well..drivers sucked..sold em real fast. Very happy with the 460s. Had an 8800gts before that G92 verson. Awesome card that was..old school there too..still have it somewhere..be an over kill PhysX card now..

But i get the occasional crash from the Blue Screen of death every now and then..but hey..its Windows..haha i have 7 64x. Wish i could get xp back..but no Directx 10 or 11 support there..
