it takes a little bit of getting used to, as the game does use a proper Newtonian physics model. if you ever get the game go look up Scott Manley on youtube, he is a fucking GOD when it comes to this game, and he's done quite a few tutorials on almost everything you can do in this game

 

i havent ever heard of that one. i still remember my dad talking about playing wing commander, had to have a freaking paper map and everything just to find out where the hell that freighter went and where you idiot squad-mates are hiding.

 

its just an odd RPG/Strategy.

one of the first games i got to play with my Dad was LHX helicopter simulator..i loved it..wish i could find a copy of it again.

I used to play wing commander

I played a lot of Quake and Quake 2 years ago as well. Used to be on a national team, when gaming centers were cool. Played in LA during HS at a huge tourney. Came in 10th out of 300+ teams

Love Quake 2 and 3!! so fun. still have em both!

yea there were some crazy ass mods for that game..

 

yeah, the whole reddit community creamed themselves when that was announced, and if i ever meet the modders im buying him a cold one

 

it took me a while to find out, being i dont go on reddit.

 

Well the age of empires 3 trial was hardly worth it lol

Thoughts?

 

I like the idea, a PC in the living room that you can play any game on steam with that controller, sure you could do the same with a xbox controller, but IMO the xbox controller isn't very comfy, and it doesn't have the modularity of the steam controller.

I also really like the fact that the guts are upgradeable.

 

I loved weapons factory.. any of you ever play that? I use to play quake 2 weapons factory

 

yea looks like a cool concept really. Would give them a huge upper hand over the normal consoles just with having the Steam Client in a console form.
