Just wondering if anyone saw it and what their thoughts were?

Saw it with the wife teh other night, I know it has awesome reviews and some say best Bond ever, but I was a bit disopointed. I like Daniel Craig as Bond and Casino Royale was awesome. But I think this was worse than Quantom of Solace. It was entertaining, just had much higher expectations.

It was alright. I think it could've been more when compared to the other two movies.

Thought it was good (though not the best Bond movie) but, it's hard to live up to the hype...

okay, I shoot and edit video for a living. It sucks watching movies because i spot cover-ups and minor shitty things they could have done correctly and just chose to quicken the pace to cover the fuck up.

Good example: the scene where bond is riding the boat in Macua (the bigass chinese dragon boat festival). Theres a wonderful slider shot where bond is chillin in the boat, as he goes through the arch into a extremely well lit dragon entrance.

Then the director (Sam Mendes) chooses to mask a huge guffaw where bond gets off the boat. Its a 3 shot sequence, but it makes no sense, and adds another character. It shows the boat pilot (small asain man) The rest of the scenes leading up dont show him at all (they intentionally didnt show him, so it felt like bond was on some sort of carnival boat ride), so it throws the viewer a little off because suddenly a fucking dude is there that wasnt there.

Of course, he quickens the pace and takes less than a second from boat to doorway, but its still in there. He just ramped the pace to cover a fuck up. This was excessive in the movie.

I also saw the reflection of the camera, (window building sniper scene)

So yeah, this was a different director, but it was the same idiots manning hte rest of the boat (sorta like US elections)

Casino royale was good because it was new. Quantum of shit pastry tried to leech off it again, and this did the same.

They got rid of M, added money penny, and now a new bond will most likely come out directed by Sam Mendes again, and it will suck as much dick as when Marc Forrester directed it.
