Ben Affleck is......Batman???

The latest news is that Ben Affleck has been signed as Batman for the upcoming Man of Steel 2 movie. When I heard this news last night my first reaction was "shit, the first Batman with a terrible Boston accent.....here we go" then after a few minutes a buddy of mine started talking like Batman....but using Ben's voice from Good Will Hunting...hilarious! But not the point of this.

I remember when Chirstian Bale was signed, I also wasn't very impressed....but damn he did an awesome job, compared to Micheal Keaton (the latest Batman that's worth mentioning). I've now started to go back in forth in my head whether this is could a good thing or yet another George Clooney Batman movie sequel.

What are the thoughts of TW? Any other Batman fans that had a potential depressing night from this news?

 

I hope his acting has improved!!!! I was let down when I heard this, I also heard that WB offered Bale a ton of money for the next Batman movie, I guess he's done as Batman.

 

Affleck SUCKS! He will make this movie suck. Unfortunate.

That's awful, would've been amazing with Bale! I really thought the Man of Steel movie was awesome. Had all kinds of high hopes for the sequel.

My god, I'm praying that he's moved up....and on so he doesn't anything from that movie to be Batman.....

 

The Bale rumor was all made up by a website. No truth to it. WB has said time and again Nolan's batman is DONE. I loved the Dark Knight trilogy, but I'm glad they are leaving it alone, being that Nolan is done with it. I don't like Ben as batman at all. I would rather see Ryan Gosling as batman, but that's my thoughts.

I was making fun of the fact that Ben Affleck was chosen to play Batman. I am interested in the thread, but not excited at all that Affleck was chosen as Batman, hence the gif. I wanted to see Michael C. Hall chosen, since Dexter is ending, but that choice was pretty farfetched. Sorry for the confusion.
