Who bought an XBOX One?

Unless I missed it. XBOX one just came out and I have not seen a thread on here. Surely I'm not the only one on this site who bought one of these instead of some armor for the truck? If you did which games did you get and how do you like it so far?

 

interested to hear some reviews from you guys, planning on getting one around xmas

 

I haven't bought one and don't plan on it anytime soon with the pricetag at $500. I played it at a friends house and it looks pretty solid. The voice commands are awersome. You can hook up your cable box to it and watch TV on it. You can change the channel with voice commands. The graphics look pretty good too. I was able to notice a difference over 360. Thats about all my experience with it. I like it.

 

I love it so far. Ryse loiks amazing. They do need todo some uodates to enable some feature like surround sound

 

any issues with the hardware? i heard alot of people are having problems with the disc grinding issue.

 

I picked mine up on release day (not a midnight release here), the only real "issue" I have with mine is I get booted out of the game and back to the X1 homepage, there were no voice commands involved outside of the typical curse word of me being killed by little kids, but it does it randomly, either on BF4 or AC4, it's not exactly a "problem", more like an inconvenience which I am sure will be addressed later on with an update/patch. Other then that it responds well to voice commands and works like a top, I haven't heard of any "bricking" like the PS4 had, not saying it hasn't happened, I just haven't heard of it. Another thing that is more annoying then anything is it recording gameplay video randomly, if I recieve a "promotion" in BF4, it records the remaining seconds of the match and I can rewatch it later.... I had 20 videos before I found them and deleted them.

The game detail in BF4 is rediculous, I bought Premium and the Second Assault pack is like night and day compaired to BF3, the landscape is phenominal and even the gameplay in general is so smooth, even with 60 players in a match. I did find that AC4 looks a lot like AC3 from a graphics POV, but on the pirate ship the water/effects look amazing. The swells, tornados, even seeing another naval combat going on in the distance is enough to keep me entertained. Either way, BF4 has captured my attention for the last 3 or 4 days, the new maps are a lot of fun and I really enjoy the Second Assault pack.

minus the disc problem, i havent heard anything bad about it. once they come back into stock i will be getting one.

 

I have one picked up the day edition. The biggest problem that I have is with battlefield servers. I can't finish one damn on line game! All it does is kick me off the server and it takes forever to get back on. Super annoying! And another problem I have is some time my party chats don't work but other than that it's amazing! Definitely worth the money. O another big problem is mine had a crack in the back of it when I took it out of the package but game stop replaced it no questions asked. Haven't tried to hook my dish to it so I can use the tv feature

 

They will be in stock after black friday.. stores are only allowed to have 5-6 in stock for the shopping days and then every store will have stock.

Yep, I got one simply cause my wife works at gamestop. The disc issue is because of people putting the system on the side like we all did with our 360's. The new xbox isnt meant to be to be upright, it even tells you so in the initial setup.. Ryse is absolutely amazing, if you like the assasins creed style of fighting, and Forza is pretty good as well. Im a big battlefield guy so thats where I spend most of my time. If anyone wants to play add me, my Gamertag is Gibvey88..

 

Adam are your having server problems for battlefield? I can't even start games with out it kicking me off

 

Yea, everynow and then the servers wig out.. It was the same with battlefield 4 for the 360, so its def a server issue. Supposedly Dice is working on fixing it so we'll see..

Funny you say it won't install for you, I had to frig with mine for a while before it did install, the game will tell you to go into your "Apps and Games", which mine was there, but I almost think I took the disk out of the console before it picked up in the games/apps window that it was trying to download. My pissoff with BF4 is that you have to wait until you're in a match to change your loadout, there's no way to do it from the home screen.

As far as the servers go, I expected as many issues, even as late as I was starting BF3 I couldn't stay in a whole match, I always got booted, a few weeks later it was ironed out. Dice seem to have spent a lot of time/effort into this game so no doubt they're on top of the server issues. I do like the full range of customization for weapons though,

 

I am waiting until they release more games for them and I feel like they will be better after they fix the bugs with them.
