godzilla

Anybody seen Godzilla yet?

 

Just got back,not the 3D .Love it,it stayed to the true Godzilla Vs Mothra films. It was worth it. Would be good in 3D.

Saw it last night thought it was very good the animation was great wish Brian Cranston had a bigger role but would watch this movie again

 

we are hoping to see it at imax

 

once they actually got to anything Godzilla, i liked it.


but......

no spoilers..it's just that this stuff really sticks out to me

i don't like the typical "audience pandering" they think they have to have in movies like this.

i.e. the aircraft carrier captain "explaining" to his crew what they are doing..... they don't need it explained to them, but they think the audience does

another of many was when Ford gets put into the helicopter to be medicvac'd out and he asks the peon next to him "what are they doing with 'that'?" and the guy proceeds to explain, in detail, what is happening.
...how the F would this guy know??!?

overall it is very reminiscent of the original.
especially the fighting style.....that was awesome.

 

did anybody else see the Mothra reference?

 

I hope by 'fighting style' you don't mean that they've got Godzilla utilizing cheesy karate moves and doing gravity-defying tail slides like in Godzilla vs Megalon...

 

Going to go see it tonight. Have a free ticket.

Well that's exciting.

 

Meh the movie was ok, setup for sequel.

 

I thought the movie was phenomenal.

 

Coulda used more fight scene

 

Very much agree ^ not focus on the actor as much.

 

they could have called the movie "Brody ........and a giant monster"

"i have to get to my wife!"
"who gives a shit, do you not see that large monster tearing up the city?!?!?!"

 

I know, every time they'd start fighting it would go back to the family story.

 

They should've shown godzilla more. Other than that it was pretty interesting. Hawaii got F'd up! LOL

 

going to imax Saturday to see it.

 

Anybody else catch Godzilla: King of Monsters yet? I thought it was a great follow up to what they started in 2014...

 

But, the toho/shin Godzilla is still my favorite!
