So I went and watched Inglourious Basterds on the weekend and I just wanted to see what others thought of it. My personal opinion was that it was good but could have been better. It was dragged out too long and did not have enough Tarantino action. Dont get me wrong I liked it and it had some really good parts, So what did everyone else think of it that watched it and what was your favorite part?

My favorite part had to be the Bear Jew smashing that guys head with the bat, either that or when Brad Pitt pretended to be Italian lol.

Your review is similar to others I've spoken with or read online... it's good... just a bit drawn out...

cool movie, entertaining but i agree that it was too drawn out. the dialogues were too long and slow. the action/plot were awesome though. id definitely recommend to any tarantino fans but others might find it slow.

I agree with Nad's assessment, but I have to say that the actor that playe Coloner Landas (Fassbender?) did an OSCAR performance. This movie is worth just watching him make people squirm. You think at any second he's going to EXPLODE...but he never does!!!!!

Yeah, i also thought District 9 was awesome. We actually saw that on accident cuz my lady thought it was a different movie, but it turned out to be really good. Then again, i'm into wizards and aliens and magic and shit like that.

And yes, I thought Inglorious Basterds was good but could have been better. I wish that there was more Pitt in it. He did awesome with that damn accent. HAHA!

I'd have to say that my favorite part was the first scalping scene, just because it came up on you out of nowhere and was really gruesome.

Second favorite would be when they were drinking at the table and the shhoting went down and the dude that killed 13 nazi's stabbed that german officer like 10 times in the back of the head and neck.

    Sweet. :D

But yeah, a little drawn out and really could have had more Tarantino action in it.

Yes, like when the colonel was having a talk with the actress and then did work. That was really quick also. And yes, he did AMAZING at his part. Always had an ulterior motive.

There were some people on Tarantino staff that thought the movie was too long as well. They did a second cut on the movie but Tarantino did not want to cut the movie time. I am sure there are some parts of the movie that could have been short.

Like several of Tarantino's movies, Basterds prolly gets better the more you watch it. Some people walked Reservoir Dogs cause they thought it was boring and man did they miss a lot.

The exception was Pulp Fiction which grabbed you from the beginning and never let go.

Yea he played a really good role,
His first line you could tell it was him(on purpose I would think), but after that he just dropped it totally.

Agreed. I'd still recommend it though. Some of the scenes were spectacullarly graphic.

This movie was really great, though some of the time I was clueless as to what was going on, but it all came together at the end. I don't think the ending could have been any better!
