I'm more inclined to get a 360 but the price just dropped on the Wii to $200 at amazon. The only concern is hearing people talk about playing it only for a few months then getting tired of it. Anyone wanna chime in? thx guys

I've had one for almost two years now and I barely use it.

I think it really depends on the type of games you want to play. Wii caters to a specific audience and the 360 caters to another.

The games that are good for the wii are very good (zelda, super mario galaxy, mario kart, etc) but there's only about 10 or so that are really good, and it's mostly the ones made by nintendo. There's a ton of really shitty games that aren't worth buying.

So it depends on you; if you're OK with playing through 10 or so solid games and being done with a console, the wii is fine.

360 has wayyyy more quality titles going for it, on the other hand, but you lose out on mario/zelda/etc if you're a big fan of those series.

    I got both ;)

some of this, a little of that
My wife bought one so she can play Mario and Zelda. Most of the 3rd party software absolutely blows unfortunatly. The wii really seems to do best in group settings for "party" games. However if you are looking for better graphics, a large title variety and good online support look to the xbox. IMO if you are looking for the best you should get a PS3

Both of my buddies got the Wii when it came out. One of my buddies just left it at his house when he went off to College, and the other one sold it for a xbox 360. I have a 360 and I love it! Big improvement in the OS for it. Very reliable now that they fixed the red ring of death.

If you have kids or repeated large groups of people, the Wii is worth it, but if not then don't get it.

it all depends on what you want to do....

in a party atmosphere the Wii will shine through all the rest. to me the Wii is a gaming gimmick. the third party software is not that good and come on no High Definition graphics

whereas if you want to pwn n00bs go for the Xbox 360. Xbox live is a lot more refined than PSN in my opinion.

Also on a side note Sony downgraded the Blu-ray drive on the new PS3 Slim and removed backwards compatibility

Julie wants one, and I have been considering it alot. A friend of mine has one, and when we have a get together at his house, we useually all end up playing it. Its pretty fun, and after a year and a half, it hasnt gotten boring yet.

It's one of those things where you want one if you don't have one but once you have one you wonder why you wanted one.

I dont know.....After a few drinks, its pretty fun. Especially the bowling. My buddy cant seem to hold onto the controler well, so that adds a whole new level to the game.

I think you need to check the Wii Fit again, sir... I'm pretty sure I've got you beat in almost everything except for that ski jump one.
