Half a box of tissues and a near suicide attempt later, I'm hear to review The Road:

Holy shit. I'll never be quite the same again. That is all.

I literally woke up my son to give him a big hug while I was sobbing last night.

    Rent it!

It's a post-apocalypse tale of a father and son who are basically just trying to survive. I give it 5 out of 5 Tacos.

Have not seen the movie, but I read the book during the second snow-mageddon of the season here in MD this winter. The power actually went out and I finished it by candlelight, how fitting right? I welled up a few times, and it did leave me with an intense desire to stockpile food and ammunition and prepare for the end times! The previews look awesome, I am looking forward to seeing it at some point. In the meantime I will get back to watching The Wrestler again!

Holy hell! I just bought the book yesterday and finished it this morning. It practically tore my soul out. I haven't wanted to talk to anyone all day, because I'm still processing it. I spent the whole rest of the day watching my 6 year old son, and trying not to break down.

I really want to see the movie, but I'm not sure I'm ready yet.

I watched it with my wife the other night. All I can say is Holy Shit! Great Flick! Makes you question how dedicated you really are to surviving no matter the cost. What would you do if your cozy little life was stripped away...would you struggle to make it no matter what, or end it quick and painless? It shows just how we truly are just animals when the metal meets the meat!

Watched this movie last night after the wife and kids went to bed...Holy shit it was a good movie! It kept me up a few hours after it was over thinking about the end of the world and how I/we could handle it. This is definitely a movie everyone should see!
