I purchased through the group buy the complete lift kit offered by Toytec (Eibach 1.6" Lift Springs, Four 5100 Bilstein Shocks, Add-A-Leaf). I had a local shop install the kit but I think they set the bilstein's at the wrong setting because my truck rides like shizz even though it looks sweet.

Does anyone know what the front shocks should be set to?
Is this the correct setting?
Is it going to hurt anything to continue driving like this?

The people at Toytec are awesome!:D

I have been thinking about how to economically get a little more travel out of my front suspension. Right now I have 5100's set to 1.75 with toytecs 1/4" top plate spacers. I want to raise the front to accomodate 285/75/16s and still add a little bit of down travel to my setup since I will be losing it by raising the front with the 885's. I was considering adding 1/2" top plate spacers to increase the down travel. I have heard this will cause binding of the factory ball joint and the stock uca can contact the spring. I have also read that the TC UCA gets rid of this problem and adds possible downtravel to the front. Will this combo work? i noticed the front 5100's are about a 1/2 inch longer than the factory front shocks so I am guessing combining those with the 1/2 inch top plate spacer should yield 1" extra down travel over stock. This should mean I will have 2" of down travel and 7" of up travel with the 3" lift in this set up. this seems like an economical alternative to a mid travel coil over setup with uca's. I know it wont be as good but Im pretty broke.:( Not much better but anything over 1" down travel seems like it would be welcome.

Sorry this might sound confusing but I feel that logically this should work. I do some mid-high speed desert wheeling so I don't want to lose all down travel. Thanks in advance for any advice.

okay so up front I have a temporary 3" lift but i want to lift the rear 2"s. Alot of people say blocks will kill your ride. But i dont understand. I would think it keeps the stock ride, depending on the shock you replace the stock shock with. And wouldn't a add a leaf make a stiffer ride since your adding another leaf? And my last question is what is a good shock to get 2"s of lift out of. I don't want a stiff ride.

i just bought a 3" tough country lift for my 05 tacoma, and it seems that people are mostly saying that the lift is junk and rides ruff. I dont know hardly anything about lifts, but how bad can this really be, i thought you couldn really go wrong with a 3" suspension lift. Im a little nervous here now i really need to know if this lift is going to give me a decent to good ride on the road, and how is it going to affect my truck as far as wear and tear. heres the link so you can see exactly what i got, some honest advice would be great to help me decide what to do here.
also he tried to sell me a 3" procomp lift and said i would not need uca with it and 285/75/16 would work without any trimming... is he blowing smoke to try to get me to change my mind?

Looking at the Pro Comp leaf packs for my 95.5 Tacoma 4X4... they are rated at 3-5" of lift

I went to put on my Billy 5100's the other day and could not because of sagging leaf springs...

I guess I will put on new leafs but do not want to much lift as I really do not want more than 31X10.50 tires and think it looks odd with a bunch of lift and small tires.

Does anyone have experience with these leaf packs and how much lift you actually get. They say they give between 3 and 5" of lift. If they give 3" that is OK but 5" would be way too much.

I thought the 5100's are for stock to some lift but they seem to be too long for stock... I know mine is sagging but they seem pretty long.

I can get these from a local shop for less than $200 a pair so the price is great...

Any input from you guys would be great...
