I'm looking for some place to go with my 4 year old daughter that has trails or that's flat enough where we can just enjoy not being on a road for a while. I've seen info on Uwharrie but based on pictures I've seen most of the areas there look like more than I'm willing to tackle solo armed only with Auto-LSD. Granted, people usually only post their "cool" pics so maybe I'm not seeing the tamer stuff that might be there.

We did some of the beach areas in OBX (well-packed spots before it turns to essentially powdered sugar!) which was fun but would like something a bit closer to home.


Anyone have a recommendation?

I am looking to start doing some moderate off-roading when i get back from this deployment and need some new shoes. I have been doing the research for all the different tires that I have read but I want to know from people in my AREA! So I putting up a poll for the ones I am looking at. There will be an other so please let me know if you have some good tires. I DON'T want a lot of road noise or fast wear.
