Can anyone give me more info on this concept? I don't under stand how that coud happen. My knee is only week at angles. I would like to be enlightened.

I hurt my knee almost 5 months ago, been wearing a brace and iceing it at night when it acts up. I rolled it and now I can't run or be myself as it just gives out and sends me to the ground, Its funny as hell but very annoying as well. I'm concerned because I am very active even in normal everyday things I push myself. I also act the fool alot. I went and had an MRI done the day before I came to work, the result said I had softening of the bones in the knee? The doc didn't have time to explain over the phone and I'm not having much luck finding out what does this mean for me? I would like to be back to normal. I have an appointment set up with a specialist for when I get home, any info will help. Thanks.

I've been feeling really.. well, not normal lately. Lot's of chest pain and drowsiness, not sleeping well though, and get night sweats like crazy.
I finally got to see my doctor today, and the first thing that they realize when I walked in was "Oh, we lost all of your shot records and need to make sure we have those done."
They gave me a shot for chicken pox, Hepatitis A, and Menengitis, which I've already had previously. I was waiting in the exam room, and the nurse walked in. (I didn't know what shots I needed yet) She walks in with three needles, and I ask "Which vaccines are these?" And she replies "Yes, they are vaccines." I was like okay, wow. So I tried another stab at explaning my question, forgot exactly what I asked. She replies with "Yes, one shot in the right arm, and two in the left." I was starting to lose it, and finally got an answer.
Get all my shots, doctor comes back in to finish up the physical. He tells me to reach for my toes. I'm just over 6' tall, so its not easy for me to get down there. I couldn't reach, and he said "Oh you have scoliosis." I was like really? You can tell by not even feeling my spine or looking at it, but just by me not being able to reach my toes? He writes a slip for me to get an X-ray at the Hospital across the street.
Moved on over to another building to get my blood samples done... I haven't given blood prior to today so it was a hell of an experience. A nice nurse comes out, asks if I have drawn blood before and I told her no. She tells me I'm going to have fun.. Sarcastically of course. I don't necessarily have a fear of needles, but I'd raher not know one is being stuck inside me. There are just some things you don't joke around about with a patient, and that made me more nervous.
Hurt like shit. I'm a skinny guy. Woman took a good 2-3 tubes of my precious blood, and afterward gave me a little container to pee in. I forgot about this part before leaving the house, and used the bathroom before I left. Great. So I'm in the bathroom trying to squeeze out whatever I have left in me, and I begin feeling woozy and I'm huddled over the toilet ready to explode.
Luckily for me nothing happened, and I finally got my pee outta there.
I swear if nothing shows up in those samples then I'm going to be pissed. My arms are way sore and I can't even pick up my guitar to play it. :(

Enough of my sob story, I just felt the need to share. I don't go to the doctors often, but I wish they had treated me a little better.

/Rant
Anyone else have bad experiences like this?

So heres my story, I am only 19 years old however I feel like my body is twice that.

I spent the whole day at my GFs State Volleyball tournement (which they won :woot: ) I probably stood a good 6 maybe 7 hours today cheering her on with some of my friends but when I got home today my Knee was swollen and bruised beyond recognition. It looks like a damn purple balloon and now I can not walk.

I am still in great shape, I lift weights regularly and log on average 20 miles a week on my mountain bike.

I guess that after 4 years of varsity football and baseball, 2 semi-reconstructive surgeries (Knee and Elbow) and a complete reconstructive surgery on my throwing shoulder that ended my college baseball career I am no where near the "physical specimen" I was just 2 years ago.

I just feel like "old age" is coming on faster than it should and that has me pretty down :(

so i was wondering: Does anyone else feel like they got "old" faster than they should?

Edit: no disrespect to those who auctually are older :o

I'm getting life insurance and they are going to come steal my blood in a week to check me out. I had blood work done a few months ago and everything came back within the expected ranges, but I'd like to make my blood work look good.

I already eat plenty of fiber and drink lots of water. Are there any other ways to quickly get my blood to look good? And don't give me any of that "eat right and exercise" nonsense :p

Of course, my current plan will be to go on a low sodium, low fat diet for the next week and daily exercise, but does anyone have any new info or recommendations?

Long story short, I was wasted Friday night, got in a scuffle in my kitchen with some drunk party goers, and fell on the stove while my housemate was cooking a quesadilla. I have this mean burn scar that runs skinny down my arm. While I dont give a shit about scars, it will look bad when my parents see it during Christmas so I wanna put some scar cream or something on it to make it heal faster and hopefully disappear some. What have you used in the past that worked well? I want to get it quick so I can start applying it before the scar gets too permanent. Thanks!
