Flat towing FJ or old land cruiser?

I seem to recall that you should not flat tow an older style FJ or Land Cruiser. This one is probably a mid-80s.
Anyone with experience/knowledge before we hurt something??
Thanks

Flat towing

So, Christian do you have any advice??
I posted here and on FJ Forum.
Some say transmission in neutral/transfer in neutral.
Others say, no - transfer must be in high or you'll burn up transfer case.
Seems to be a question of splash lubrication.
I'd like to help this guy who is planning on towing an old, restored 80s diesel Land Cruiser.

4wd correct? If so it should be fine with having the transfer case in neutral.

Do not lock the front hubs either.

The whole point of having a Neutral setting on the transfer case is for towing, right?
