Took my 2010 Trail FJ Cruiser in for its 5K service today, toying around with the idea of trading it for a 2012 Tacoma access cab TX PRO 6sp, I was amazed at the value they offered for my FJ - $31K, they also came down $1500 on the Tacoma.

I leave home, I need a truck...dirt bikes, mountain bikes, hauling crap etc....FJ just sits in storage. I have an old school 85 Toyota Pickup that I drive most often.

don't think I can commit to actually making the trade, pretty much a straight trade. I was not to excited about push button 4x4, lame tires, non J title and old school 4.0 motor ( EPA is 15-19, the Tacoma is 600 LBS lighter ) Truck would need to go straight from the dealer to a lift kit, then on to discount tire for more aggressive tires.

So, I left the dealer happily with my FJ Cruiser that is holding value like no other.

TX pro in the picture, Funny thing....its got the identical wheels as my 2010 FJ trail...:-/

LOL,,,,,,you are correct, they pulled a manager double sales guy pitch on me too....so, what will it take to get you into this Tacoma ?

the rig the way it sits is just no comparison to the mighty FJ Cruiser (as pictured )

    Agree ?

This is the image that was stuck in my head on the way into the dealership....I know it would just take lift/tires....but that 2012 truck had no excitement setting there next to my FJ

    This truck is bad ass:..

I dig it.....just don't like hauling trailers........that is a funny comment, but true..the new Tacoma will just sit as well, thought I was done with old school truck....not a chance !

Less traction too. Those tires suck.
