Heck can you get away with it bolted to the skid plate? That is if your going to keep that skid plate awhile. I flat blacked mine so it didn't stand out.

If you buy it, forget the TRD exhaust. Get a MagnaFlow cat back kit. Much better performance, and sound ;-).

Oh he bought it waiting for it to arrive had to have it shipped from east to west. By the way OP I mentioned my poor gas mpg. Well I found the fix on fjcruiserforums.com Apparently older models have weak thermostats. I had dropped to 200 miles a tank! Just changed it two days ago I now have 150.9 miles on a half tank!! I picked housing and all up at dealer for 43bucks. Just something to keep your eye on.

I would consider a Fj if it were a factory convertible. I may have seen one...black with a black canvas folding top. Could have been a S.E.M.A. concept from toyota, hard top with a canvas overlay, and... or my imagination.

5100's w/ Eibachs, Front sway bar in trash mod, Diff drop, 265/75-16 Duratracs or 33x10.50 KM2's on 15x8 wheelers steels, ARB front bumper, Warn VR8000 winch, Trailgear sliders, Allpro rear bumper, Sky Offroad E-Locker guard, Sky Offroad weld on differential guard, Savage skid plates w/ Budbuilt cross member, e-locker rear, ARB air locker front, 4.56 gears, bought it from my mom who bought it new :-D
Sick man. When my truck dies in 10 years I will be getting an FJ.

Now, if one were planning on going mod crazy on one of these would it be better/cheaper to get a non-locker/atrac 4x4 and just do ARB's front and rear?

Did you get that to stop? I bet its from the FJ coming from east to west it has zones in it that you can program by holding down the set button.

The compass light flashes on and off because it needs to be re-calibrated. You need to hold the button down, and once the display changes, drive the FJ in a small circle until it re-calibrates. Took me a while to figure out why it wouldn't stop flashing after I reset the battery.
