I recently bought a 2007 Fj and went 265 miles before the light went on. That is with 285/70/17 Toyo ATs and Freeway driving at 70-75 mph. Should I be worried or is that good for the fj?

That's not terrible. Figure with a 4 gallon reserve that's for 15 gallons, so you're about 335 miles to empty on the entire tank.

I agree with "schocks" that's pretty good. Now add a steel bumper, full roof rack, winch, expedition gear, full armor....now we'll dip down into the 235-245 miles before the light comes on (mixed city/hwy) with a heavy foot.

Damn, I really need to look into this. Other than a light bar and 33's, I am only getting close to 200 a tank. Mixture of city and highway.

well...it also depends on grade of fuel too and time of year (winter blend). I notice a dramatic drop during the winter timeframe. Premium get's me more miles and performance (at least it makes my brain say vroooom!).

Yeah winter fuel sucks I run 93 and have seen a drop as well. But the problem is the running cooler than it should keep that idle just a tick higher than it should if I remember operatining temp is 180 to 200 and the weak thermostat is keeping it at 150 degrees try it cheap fix can't hurt anyway.

I was getting close to 200 before the winter hit anyways. Definitely going to try to do this an a simple tune up when I get back to my FJ.
