Need help getting weight up!!

Hey guys recently got an fj and due to taxes it has to weigh a certain amount to be tax deductible. Bottom line is I need to add 400 pounds to it. I know a bumper can add weight but any other ideas??? thanks!!

 

Fill the FJ with water and climb in and out of the moonroof, and drive with scuba gear on?

You could fill the tires with water, it'll slightly increase the weight.

 

Mississippi really give you at tax break for being heavy?! I've never heard of this anywhere??

 

Sliders, new skid plates. bigger and higher rated tires. winch,

4 bags of 100# sand deftly placed in the FJ should do the trick...

 

armor it up. sliders, skids, bumpers, tire carrier, gas cans. Get some 35s with a matching spare. Get a winch with steel cable, none of that lifhtweight synthetic crap.

Hopefully your gas mileage doesnt't get too crappy that it negates the tax benefit.

 

2x on sliders, skid plates, bumpers, tires, winch.

a combo of 2 of those should push you over, if not add a permanent gas can and water can.

 

Do they weigh each individual vehicle on scales or go off some baseline weight they look up from a database.

 

Im not exactly all clear on the details but from what i have been told if it weighs a certain amount it counts as a piece of equipment for my dads business since he owns a construction company. Im doing this for him so im not exactly all clear on the details.

 

I'd ask your dad to foot your fuel bill for a bit.

 

I would say the concrete bag idea and throw a blanket over them to hide em.

 

and also foot the bill for all the mods.

 

I bet its based off of vehicle GVWR and not actual weight. Check with your tax accountant. Like this says maybe.

Motor vehicle ad valorem tax is based on the assessed value of the vehicle multiplied by the millage rate set by the local county government. Yea probably so, get a decal made with his companies logo on it, he can use the price of the fj as a tax write off then.
