Ocala national forest Campout

Sorry dude I don't know where we are going. I'm gonna follow jon. I think it's Ocala..

 

yes its ocala haha, i also got the camper, in case anyone wants me to bring it as a base persay. it has AC, Generator, 6mpgs lol and a good bit of room. toilet shower etc, but there will be these items at the place we are camping out anyways

im sure we can find it, we will have alot of time out there to find spots, alot of gas will be burned haha

 

most of theose pics in the advrider were in the southwest region towards ocala itself. the place we will be is more of the central south upinto the north a bit. I'm sure others will chime in on where the mud pits are and what not.

Im gonna bring my ATV and dirtbike also.......

There are several places you can camp in the Ocala NF
The campground you guys are deciding to use,.....has zero trees and shade.....

Lake delancy offers a couple of nice camping areas....... They are primitive sites (for tents) but there are trails right at the campsite.....and plenty of trees to offer shade through the day.

 

yeah i know ocala is huge, and also that mud lake place is about 15 miles from where we will be camping... If people wanna carpool to do it idc, i know for one, my truck won't be taking the drive, ill have enough bills in fuel alone haha

 

I dont have personal experience in Southern region (south of hwy 40)

But I have ridden the northern part of Ocala NF (up by the Rodmans Dam) several times.
Most trails up there are narrow, for trucks.....and the ones that are wide enough....are heavy sugar sand, rutted and wooped out from atv's......

Has anyone else ridden the Ocala NF? Is there area's not so sandy, and more clay/dirt??????????

You all will have a blast. I own a cabin in the forest, off of 19!. I have a tricked out raised golf cart that I use when running (still not a scratch on the truck). Be aware that it is illegal to run non-licensed/non-street legal vehicles on the yellow roads, or any other trailed marked no vehicles...FYI

EDIT>>>I think the fine is $500.00 and its the federal forest rangers that issues them. Call me "buzz kill"

LOL dates are may 4th through 6th. we may just bring the tent due to money issues. but may anyways. We will see. Also bring bathing suits! there will be a spring called blue sink that we will go swimming in and hangout in.
