    Glad you asked.

Deerfield Beach is located in sunny south florida- county of Broward. Home of scumbags, drug dealers, pimps, prostitutes, etc.

As for the weekends, there are tons of things to do, depending on how adventurous you are (see list of people above).

The locals in the Deerfield, and neighbooring Pompano Beach area are avid hunters, wildlife enthusiasts, collectors of fine antiques, and purveyors of herbal medicines.

Of course if you don't enjoy a good drive-by shooting, armed robbery, home invasion, dog fight, or drug deal, you'll want to spen your weekend inside with the doors locked and the shades drawn.

Kidding(sorta). Deerfield is decent. I'm in Davie, about 20-30mins south. Beaches are decent, and you'll be here during summer so there will be plenty of nice scenery out there. The bars around Fort Lauderdale Beach are fun, and there is a large casino near me in Davie that a lot of people go to.

Let me know when you're down here and I'll buy ya a beer.

Located in Pompano...Neighborhoods are hit or miss (no pun intended). But S. Florida changes if you can get out of the boat at all.

Take Hillsborough all the way east to the beach. Stretch of nine bars and some decent food as it has live music a good bit. Decent surf (for florida) and fishing is always a blast year around.

Look up Charm City Burgers or El Jefe Luchador for some good food.

Too funny! I'm in Cooper City and couldn't have said it better myself. It's location aint bad though, not far from alot of good places. Fishing is picking up in the glades and like Tabe said, casino's are just around the corner.

    Spot on.
I work down in Ft. Lauderdale and when I pass by those areas, seems to be a bit sketch at times.
But if there is going to be a little meet up, I'd be down. Don't know the area too well yet though.

How was Deerfield Beach? I was there last year for a week building the Billabong store. We didn't see anything weird on the main drag, but we were inside most of the day and would walk across the street to eat and booze it up at a place called Rattlesnake Jake's if memory serves me correct ;)

Beach was cool, grabbed a couple SUP's and had a blast north of the pier.
