I understand that it's a quite a drive. But, atleast this place isn't as remote as JW & the exit off of the Turnpike is less than a mile away. If we end up going to all 3 places then the last location is less 3 miles away.

I will drive to the nw 41st location tomorrow morning just to see if it is open and I will do the same a few days before the 24th of March. I don't want to waste anyones time. I'll keep you posted.

BTW, go to youtube and type in sw "8 st mud miami" & "nw 41 st mud miami" so you have an idea of what the terrain is like. Ofcourse, I didn't go into most of those areas. Just what you saw in my vids. It should be dryer in March though.
    :)

Ive been looking around online and a lot of people on random forums say that those places are enforcing the no trespassing and issuing fines. Some ATV'ers have said that their bikes have even been taken...

    IDK about all that...

    Holly crap!
Was that the 8 st location or the 41 st location. The 199 st location (the sandy area) has a no trespassing sign only on one side and it says that you will be asked to leave, thats it. I'll take a pic of it and show you. My God, I'm going to have to look into this further.

What I was reading was the 8th street location. I guess it's near a jail, and the jail has been complaining about the people over there...? The posts were about 2 -3 months old.

Not going to lie, looking on Youtube and seeing videos about this 41st st place and I see packed place with weird lifted Jeeps and guys shooting shotguns and little kids shooting some AKs....not instilling much favor in that spot.

MIAtaco, What do you mean by "if im up and walking again and can drive ill go just curious how 2wd friendly these places are". Did you have an accident? What ever it is I hope you get better.

I drove to Walmart with my wife last night & decided to take a drive to the nw 41 st location and I can tell you that it is NOT going to happen. I'll post the pics when I get home tonight and I'll explain why.

Finks99taco, I've been to nw 41 st twice. 1st time no one was there but me. The 2nd time is the vids where you saw me driving in the water. I didn't see that type of activity but I don't doubt you. The ground is littered with all types of bullet shells. Either way though, that's not going to be doable.

    AWorthyOpponent,
The jail is by the nw 41 st location. The one that we won't be able to go to anyways. You actually drive past it on your way to that location. The only thing next to the 8 st location is the Rinker plant. Hopefully when you and everyone else sees the pics and vids that I post tonight you guys would be tempted. It looked very family friendly. I saw people paint balling, riding ATV's, and riding their trucks. Anywhere from little kids to people in their 50's. Believe me guys, the last thing I want is for anyone to have a bad experience here. Yes, anything is possible and this is a place that a lot of people go to but in the 4 times that I have been to the 8 st location the only guns I've seen are paintball guns. Now, that being said, I have never gone in there too deep because even the entrance was flooded when I went the last time. But, after what I saw today and being that rainy season doesn't start until April, I think it will be a better ride this time. Especially with more than just my truck there.

BTW, there was someone out there today in a Jeep that I recognized from last time. He told me that he was out there yesterday from 5:00 pm until 2:00 am! WOW, he said that you can get lost in there if you don't have GPS.

Another good thing about this place is that once you drive off the pavement on sw 137 ave the trails are right there. And it's less than 3 miles from the Turnpike. I also saw a couple of hot dog vendors and an Ice Cream truck today! At the entrance, of course. You'll see the vids. AFTER THE WALKING DEAD!
    :)

    OUCH!
Get better bud. If you can't make it, I definitely understand. There'll be other moments for us to off-road. If you don't mind me asking, what happened?

Thanks, I hurt it falling off a ladder last July and the doctors didn't do much and I jumped off the loading ramp about a foot and a half off the ground and tore the acl. Personally I think there was a partial tear the first time it was hurt and they didn't know because they didn't do an MRI

    OK,

Here's the vid that I took at nw 191 st & 27 ave on February 08, 2013. I was having trouble with it before so I am re-posting it:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cOhiNRmBrrs

This is the entrance to nw 41 st & 147 ave where you see me driving through the water. That day the gate was there but open & there were no "No Trespassing" signs. I also noticed 2 cranes out there. I guess FPL finally decided to construct something there:

This is the entrance to the sw 8 st & 137 ave off-road spot. Part 1:

    Part 2:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d87dJTWsD9s

BTW, After these vids I noticed an Ice Cream truck pulling up to the entrance & parking on the side. There's also a Walgreens in the opposite corner of 137 & 8.

These pics are google maps views so you can have an idea of the size of the areas. I understand that coming from West Palm is quite a ride so if you guys want to just visit one of the 2 places then let me know. Personally, I feel that if you make it down here you might as well do both. Especially being Sunday there is little traffic to deal with.

If you decide to do both, we can meet up at the 199 st spot at 10:00 am. Maybe leave after 12:00 and be at 8 st by 1:00 pm. By 3 or 4:00 pm I'm sure we would have had our fill.

Hopefully enough people decide to go & we can all decide on the best way to visit both or one spot.

    Let me know,
    Thanks
    :D
