Bilstein help in tampa.

Hey everyone, im new to the forum and to the tacoma world. I own a 14 DCLB sport, and am looking to do bilstein 5100 (possibly all around) with blocks in the rear. Im looking for someone in the area who can do the install. The shops ive called have been crazy in the prices. I want to do 285\70\17 Konig Six Shooters. Im ears to any advice. Ive done a bit of searching, i just dont have all the tools and confidence to do it. Lol.

 

I would try oreillys or autozone they rent tools that you can use. They definately have a string compressor and a few other tools you could rent. I did mine and it took about 2 hours with 2 people and it was relatively easy. Hope you find what your looking for.

 

Im just not sure if i have the knowledge to do it, dont really have anyone that would\could help me with it either. Would rather have someone who know what they are doing.

 

Also, i wont be doing a crazy amount of off roading, so im not sure if i should just do a leveling kit. I had a shop quote me 650 for a 3inch procomp nitro kit which sounds kinda high. or 450 for just a leveling kit.

 

if you wanna bring it to orlando the guys and i can do it. just gotta rent a spring compressor or maybe we could take it to 4wp and use the compressor there.

They are just shocks, I paid a shop to install them for 150 because I didn't have the time. Your local tire/shock place should do it for somewhere around that.

 

Yeah we should be able to get a few guys together & make something happen.

 

youtube has great videos on DYI. also you really don't need compressor. i didn't use one, everything came out OK.

 

Yeah you dont need a spring compressor....its actually more of a pain to install them with a compressor than without.

Theres a video on youtube its really easy to do just need the right tools.

4wheel parts in orlando wanted $250 labor just to install the fronts plus $150 for alignment, i said screw that and did it myself

 

spencer, I don't know who you talked too, but we do not charge 250 dollars to replace struts.... and yes we charge 150 for alignment.

 

$150 for an alignment!!! I hope that is for a lifetime alignment

 

No, for a full on camber castor toe alignment it's 150.00 dollars. You want to go to firestone where they do a have ass alignment sure, it'll be cheaper.

We do it right and adjust everything.
