    I, but yes I have mine. It is run to an ignition power source so I shuts off with key off otherwise it would alway be either charging or in stand by. The red light is pretty much always flashing because it is fully charged.

    hmm, the choices......

    i wired mine constant. manual said it only charges at 0.2 amps unless in quick charge mode (still only 0.7 amps at that point). figure my solar panels can cover that, but i'll keep an eye on things. time for some math to see if i can fully charge a dead flashlight battery and still have the cca to start the truck.

    You buy a streamlight? I like mine on ign, but you will use yours more than me I'm sure. And if your charger is easily accessible like mine you could always unplug it if it becomes a issue.

    The guys at work went in on a streamlight as a gift. been working for them for almost 5 years, but am graduating saturday, so it was a parting gift.

    it's very accessable, so i may just unplug it. i tried to fit it where you put yours (or nearby), but it was a little too big, and i have switches there.

    That's cool, mine fit because its a streamlight strion. I have 2 like yours, 1 at work and 1 at the house. Pricey but so worth it. I love all of the streamlights. Also keep a little streamlight next to my pen in my pocket at work.

    it was more of a why not decision. between the deep cycle, high cold-cranking-amps battery, and the solar maintainer, the battery should be fine and able to start the truck. the streamlight charger also cuts off when the light is fully charged, and then goes into maintain mode as needed.

    Then there's the fact that the solenoid/relay you'd need, in order to turn on that entire aux. fuse box would have to be the size of the one my winch uses.
