ive never understood the point behind stretching tires

 

My daughter & her boyfriend are into the tuner/ricer cars, from what I've learned from them I think the ricers do it when they lower they're cars so the tires won't rub the fenders. That way they can still have wide wheels. Looks retarded if you ask me. Why someone would do it with mud tires on a lifted truck is beyond me.

 

Nam i have to lift the truck first and the reason I got these is they were 200 bucks. And best I could find. Im going to run these down and by that time I can afford the toyo m/t's.

As for the stretch. I only got one mounted today so I could see how they would look. If it was stupid stretched I was going to sell them. I dont think it looks that bad?????

 

I like the deep lip on those and the gloss black goes well machined accents. Almost went with those instead of the moto's.

Mine wasnt directed to you, yours aren't stretched that much.
I was just saying how foolish tuners & lifted trucks look with stretched tires.

 

those wheels are prob a lil too wide for that tire, but to put off spending over 1 g on tires, i'd sport that til they wear down

I had my stock 265's on my 9" wide wheels ( about 2 weeks) until I could get my 285's. They were stretched a little, didn't like it but there was no way I was gonna let my new wheels sit in the garage. Haha

Yeah you better pull it up quick because it took over my entire yard practically overnight. The stuff is nasty

Yeah, I had a plan but our wedding got in the way of it. Now I think I'll have to wait until after school when we decide if we're staying or moving.

 

If you buy me a 10lb roll of .035 wire ill weld it up for you. And lunch of course. Haha. I have a Lincoln 170 on gas. Big tank of it too.

You wanting to run the welds showing or smoothed out???

oh hell YEA!!! i guess smoothed out, but they don't have to be perfect, cause I'm just gonna paint the bumper yellow afterwards and you can do this with aluminum right?
