I really appreciate the service Luke at Frontier 4x4 provides! One call this afternoon, I tell him TG shipped the wrong spline axle and he is taking care of it. He's having them ship the correct part and having them drop a call tag in the box for the return.

Great service is what earns my business.

Mike, my mom got her new headlights already. They are even darker chrome than the 08+. Looks fuckin tits.

 

That's shitty. I remember a few us telling you to not go the DIY route. Sell that mess on CL and save for one that actually fits man.

That sounds good. I'll have to look into how they get swapped out because the guy was saying I'd have to take my bumper off for them. If that's the case it'd be easier to just pick the lights up and put them in myself.

 

i'd still go the diy route, saved a boatload of money, but the important lesson learned is never trust someone else to use good judgement

as far as headlights off, I really doubt you'd need to remove bumper, you don't even need to remove it in the first place when it's stock

 

Mgrande do you have headlight hoops? If so, the bumper needs to be pulled unfortunately.

 

Is it really worth it saving that money and not happy with it though now? Plus you have to go and have it redone. Sometimes its better to pay a lil more up front than have it done right instead of saving a buck and end up doing things over.

 

I def hear what you saying, and IMO it really just depends on the situation, in my case even after I pay someone else to fix the hoops, I still think I'll be about $500 ahead

I can get mine out without taking the bumper off, takes a bit of twisting and curse words, but it comes out. Unfortunately it is probably different between aftermarket bumpers, gl bud.
