Well I have never even been to a meet, let alone ran one so I am not sure what to do to have one but am very interested in getting one going for us Floridians! Anyone have some experience and want to help? I am located about 30 min south of Tampa. Let me know.

You are speaking to the organizer for the san diego meets. The 3 meets that i have done its been alot of work and i have had good turnouts thank god, i have my regular buddies and they know who they are, everyone knows i bring sodas and GIANT pizza's its a good thing cuz you have hungry people around.i have always wonder How many other owners are like me so sd_cali and i got it going. . Revn247 helped me out with some good info and went from there and now we are going on our 4th meet.
    1. pick a location enough for you guys to park and chill. if ya want to drink make sure you can drink there so you dont get tickets.
    2. i would make it a simple meet first, meet and greet, then get trail runs and cruise runs later.
    3. post it up in your florida section with a location time date i would post it on multiple websites, me i always do 3-4 websites bigger turn out.
    4. have some help

One thing our motorcycle group did was to create a local bike night. It was a once a month get-together at a central restaurant to meet others in our group. It's great way to get to know the people around you. Plus, it usually only lasts an hour or two so it's not as big a commitment. We started out with only four individuals and had as many as 12. The tricky part is finding a day, time, and location that meets the needs of the most people. Pick a time that isn't commonly used for family stuff (e.g. third Wednesday of the month at 7 pm). You'll want to collect email addresses to regularly remind people that it's coming up. At the bike night we talk about scheduled rides and suggestions for upcoming rides.

Well I know in the town I'm in there is a Mustang club that meets at the Hooters. Maybe that could be the plan, any suggestions on a town? I am willing to travel too.

Well what town works for everyone, lets get some suggestions. Start with a meet at like a Hooters or Winghouse maybe, and in the future try and get on some off roading...

Me likes beach crusing, me likes hooters, and me likes a 45 minute drive. I doubt I could go anywhere further than that for awhile.

Hey ya'll, when I was trying to get something going earlier, we talked about Daytona. What a party atmosphere in the first place and it's kinda centrally located. I think that would be a blast!! But, its just my opinion.

    It's Orlando.
We've got Jax, Ocala, Clearwater, Tampa and Orlando (Sorry if I missed anyone). Orlando seems to be the middle. There's a Wing House in Altamonte Springs (I-4 exit 75...I think).

Just throwing my 2 cents in.....
