    does anybody here do any cooking with a dutch ovens? I've made some pretty good peach cobblers and pineapple upside down cakes with them

    i don't have any pics (made those along time ago), but it just like making a cake in a regular oven. You just need to make sure you have coals on the top of the oven too. I believe 1 coal is equal to 15 degrees in a oven

    i've baked bread in my dutch oven. you can see my pizza stone, which i cracked in half recently warming a frozen slice of pizza. i just push them together and keep on using it. probably not so smart.

    Damn boutin I was so pumped to try the pizza stone and the grill only to find out I left the grill on last night, no propane!

    Made these anyway:

    Pepperoni on the right, Greek on the left (kalamata olives, capers, feta, chunks of tomato, mozzarela, tomato sauce)

    The Greek was amazing! Next time it is on the grill.

    Nice, you cold add olive oil just before you take it out, that will fix dry crust. Can you tell that I have made pizzas for a couple of years.

    that is what my girlfriend and i were thinking about. we want to make up a garlic olive oil and herb mixture and brush it on as it started to rise. The crust had a very good taste, the whole wheat flour mixed well with the taste of the Boston Lager.

    I know this sux to talk about now but tomorrow morning I am going to the butcher shop. got family coming over for a steak cookout. I am planning on dry aged sirloin, ribeyes and filet mignon. I am only making the steaks, corn on the cob and some kind of grilled potatoes. Dont worry there will be pics..the only rule for tomorrow is take it how you get it (I mean that if i give you your steak rare...eat it.), and no steak sauce.. I say that bc it annoys me when I see someone order a well done filet or ribeye..and then smother it with steak sauce.. go to the diner....lol enough rambling just a heads up for some pics tho
