Champagne suggestions?

Hey everyone, my wife is due to have our daughter June 29rh and I wanted to get a nice bottle of champagne to toast it. Not a $10 bottle of Asti or sparkling wine, but actual champagne. Any suggestions or favorites?

champagne? as in "from france".?

i dont really like it. i do however like Proseco..sparkling wine from italy. it is a tad sweeter, and is much easier to drink for me. great to cook with too!

i cant help with the french stuff..sorry.

congrats on the upcoming kid!

Dom Perignon. I'm sure there are others out there but this one is pretty popular, expensive, tastes pretty good and should be easy to find.

I agree though that the sparkline wines can be better.

Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin. The yellow label stuff.

Easy drinking, tasty, and hangover-free.

*Hangover-free is 100% dependent on the quantity consumed

Gotta put disclaimers in there!
