Yea we've been doing this for awhile and it always works well, I wrap mine in paper towels loosely.

I do it to shuck the corn now, but I prefer rolling them around on a grill to cook them. Just plain husk off until a few kernels pop and you get a couple grill marks. They really get sweet this way.
