    I started a little late this morning but I am going to be smoking all day. I have a 9lb pork shoulder for pulled pork and 2 racks of baby rack ribs. Later I am going to smoke a 2 lb filet of salmon. I am in the process of making cream of cheesy broccoli soup which looks good. Everyone is hungry in here but it is coming close to nap time.

    I could never pull the meat off to add wood, although I have to lift the whole smoker up to add coal if I am doing a big load of coal. I can add wood and coal piece by piece into the side door which works. This thing is running really hottttt today I am way into the HOT zone. It is 16 degrees outside so that is good and I am adding a good amount of wood and coal.

    Are you doing the salmon in the same smoker? Everything I have read or been told says not to mix fish with other meats in the same smoker...everything tastes fishy afterwards. Have you figured out how to avoid this??? Curious because I'd love to smoke fish!

    Well I just took the ribs off the smoker and the shoulder is on for another hour so I will probably take the shoulder off before I do the salmon. I didnt even think about that honestly.
