Deck plate, all time auxillary, black billet, xeon bulbs, sockmonkey decals, and lots of back to black.
22oz bottle served in a standard shaker pint.

pours a beautiful translucent, deep copper shade with orange highlights; yields a frothy 2" head that demonstrates great retention and lacing. to me this is the prototype for 'how a beer should look'. nose is not quite as aromatic as i recall, but does offer nice notes of hops (primarily citrus, some earthy characters) and a background presence of caramel malt.

taste easily one-ups the aroma. bold and flavorful, it's hop forward but with a strong toasty, caramel malty backbone. big bitter presence persists through the finish. the kind of beer that will put hair on your chest. medium-bodied mouthfeel, a touch below average carbonation.

overall arrogant bastard is, simply put, a stellar beer. i'd stop a little short of calling it world-class, but just very well-crafted and one i will always return to.

The wife and I have been touring local pubs during our Down Under vacation...Been here 11 days-Tried about 15 beers so far...Will have photos and some reviews once we are home but this was the coolest one yet:ImageUploadedByTapatalk1339831894.449655.jpg. It was a collaboration amongst 40 brewers thru out NZ and was used to be a summary of everything going on in brewing in New Zealand on 2011.

This really isnt on topic. But saturday i ran the beer to keg race from philomath to newport ending at the rouge brewery. At the brewery i bought thia maple bacon voodoo donuts ale. Worst tasting beer ive had in my life! F you rouge. I dumped it down the drain and bought an arrogant bastard ale at the convenience store.

I like pale ales - the more hops/citrus the better, the less malt the better. Some of my fav's:

    Green Flash Imperial IPA
Stone Ruination (and the 10th anniversary version)
    Stone IPA
    Sierra Nevada Torpedo
    Avery IPA

Are they still selling this stuff at the LC? I haven't seen it, but my stash from my last trip there isnt gone yet.

I like local micro brew stuff but I like Newcastle Brown Ale. I did have some cask beer from an old school pull tap at Tod English's in Vegas last week that was awesome!!! I wish I could remember what it was called

I had it twice, first time i thought it was just OK, was a good thought but that beer might not have needed to go out for sale.

Its got a high ABV though, got me pretty lit up!!!!

For an Anheuser Busch product the Shock Top line of beer's isn't half bad. I had a sip of the Pumpkin Wheat the other day and I'd buy a case of it for a night out.

We have some of those guy's around here in a place called, wait for it, Moncks Corner, SC of all places. They brew great beer. All a trappists monk is that they don't talk unless necessary they believe talking would temp them into doing ungodly thing's and that laughter is ungodly and banned within the monistary.
