    Anyone cooked one? I'm curious about doing this and would appreciate any helpful tips from someone who's ventured into making one. So, who's successfully pulled one off?

    I'm watching Chopped and they had to cook duck. I've always wanted to try it, this Thanksgiving might be the time!

    Certain Duck is oily I heard..All depends on what/where/how you kill and cook it.

    TW Thanksgiving Meet :laugh:

    I've heard duck is oily also which is why I think it it would be awesome inside the turkey. I had deep fried turkey and it was soo moist! I think stuffing the duck in the turkey would keep the turkey and chicken moist.

    I didn't watch the video.. just googled it and pasted the link here.. but when I watched the show.. they went through all the steps to make this.. and it's no joke.. but could be done. It has to be done right though or it's gonna be a waste of time and money.

    Decide to buy one from a local meat market. First I did a butter and herb rub, cooked for 4 hours then an oil and seasoning rub. It’s pretty good but for some reason the turkey kinda has a slight tuna taste. Not sure why maybe from the duck?

    @Misplaced Nebraskan @bvbull200

    One can make this and one can make a rub for this... and then of course someone will need to make the stuffing etc.. surely a contest winner?
