Depending on the dish, I agree with you that sometimes round 2 is better. There are some things that just aren't good when they get reheated. Seafood comes to mind. Otherwise, I eat leftovers for lunch most of the week. I bring the leftovers from last night's dinner with me to work for lunch the next day.

They are usually just as good if not better the 2nd day. And bonus that they are much easier to prepare.

As for seafood, I agree it is bad reheated, but one day I tried some leftover fish cold out of the fridge and it was amazing! Sounds weird, but give it a try, you might be surprised like I was.

Absolutely I eat them most days for lunch as well.

I also make large batches of certain foods ensuring I have leftovers and will throw them in my Chamber Sealer and freeze for quick lunches. Do this a lot with Cajun dishes , Pasta Dishes, Stews/Chili's, etc.

Like others have said, depends on what it is. 9 times out of 10 though, food brought home from going out to eat, gets tossed after sitting a couple days. That stuff is never good reheated. I just feel bad leaving it. I paid for it, I'm taking it home.

I love left-overs. I always take the previous dinner's left-overs for lunch the next day. I do however agree that a few things don't work to well when re-heated, but the majority is just fine.
