Ribeye: Fresh ground black pepper and coarse sea salt rub on both sides, very hot grill, 4-1/2 min on side A, 3-1/2 min on side B, tented under foil for 5 min--perfectly medium rare. I set the bottle of A-1 on the table to make it jealous watching me eat before putting it back in the fridge unused.

Best steakhouse: Saltgrass. Their ribeye will make you want to blow your brains out because you know it can never be that good again.

Just knock the horns off!!

I love grillin and my grill! All cleaned and ready to go for this year!

I like to get my steaks on the outside nice and seared to leave the inside a healthy looking pink-almost-red.

Burgers--I don't mess around too much..get them to at least pink-turning-brown just to be safe. Considering that you are probably eating 1000 (maybe 10000?) different cows simulataneously in a single burger, yeah...don't mess around and just cook it.

Good stuff

Anyway, I've been using this for the past year and am absolutely hooked....
Thats the ticket.
Or marinade in Kens Teriaki and Honey for about 24 hours.

Ha ha i never go out to a steak house and order a steak working in the meat industry i know how much they pay for it and cant bring myself to order one. I just get the chicken instead (it sucks to know that info) But of all, the ribeye is my fav. the best one i ever had was a whole beef rib hung and aged in the cooler for 2 mths. It was every color of the rainbow and dried out but once all that was trimmed off.......... No knife was needed

I prefer my steaks medium rare when I prepare them but order medium when at a restaurant.

A1 is also out of the question. Personally, I believe a good steak doesn't need steak sauce.
Agreed on both. Medium rare for me as well. Gives the steak more flavor.

Ditto on the "no sauce"

Wife loves BBQ sauce and A1... I haven't used A1 in years, and BBQ sauce was always too sticky sweet. It's okay on BBQ ribs, but not steak.

Pepper, or Cajun seasoning... steak doesn't need anything the chef didn't provide.

I would never use a sauce personally. There is no need for a sauce. Even if it is the nastiest steak, which I have eaten grade D and F steaks from the Army and could never get up the courage to put sauce on them. Just can't do sauce..
