We pureed just regular food in a bullet (or similar food processor). Don't add too much spices!. Typically just vegetables, rice etc. with a little salt.
We did not do much Gerber style store bought foods, but when traveling it does come in handy. (tastes bad though compared to real food)
- babies/kids will tend to want to eat the fruits and spit out the veggies. Most parents just give in because it is easier, but don't give in. We taught our kids to eat the veggies first, and then they get fruit after. Some people say they are too young to understand that concept, but believe me they get it, and it actually does not take long for them to get it. Now my kids are 14 and 10 and they still love veggies. It hurts to see some parents who just give in and let the kids eat what they want, and then they end up living on mac & cheese and french fries. We all need veggies to keep our bodies healthy and growing, and there is no better way to start than right at the baby stage.
