I kind of figured Pat's and Gino's wouldn't be on a native's list. They get all the attention while the real places make the good stuff.

 

Pat's and Geno's suck, unless you are really drunk.

Chadds Ford Tavern used to have a good steak, haven't been in a bit. Growing up in Philly it was Falones off of Island Ave.

Jims is OK, Tony Lukes is good.

 

The real question is what is the best way to eat a cheesesteak? Wit or Without and whiz or american and hots on or on the side.

 

In Philly,...Tony Luke's of course.

However, I had a friend from Philly visit me in OKC and I took him to Jersey Mikes. He said that Jersey Mike's Cheese Steak was superior.
