I like the Montreal Steak Seasoning or Love Rub (actual product name, pervs) Last year we got a freezer full of organic, grass fed, West Virginia beef. I grilled it up with nothing on it and it was the best steak I ever had.

Two ways I like:

Weber Chicago Steak seasoning rubbed into the meat before grilling

-or-

For ~2 lbs of steak, mix in a bag -
1/2 cup teriyaki marinade
1/2 cup EVOO
two-ish tablespoons of dark brown sugar
1/2 cup water

let it sit in the fridge all day or over night, shifting the bag every once in a while to make sure all the meat gets soaked.

Fresh cracked black pepper and garlic powder. Salt can make the meat tougher. But the most important thing: charcoal or wood fire. Never gas.

I either rub them down with EV oil-oil, then season them with Montreal and a little garlic powder

-or-

marinade them in lawry's terryaki pineapple marinade

-or-

Marinade them in the lawry's steak&chop seasoning

depends on my mood and what I have available.

I actually make my own seasoning, and it's some pretty good stuff to be honest. My website is www.montanaspice.com and it is called Rocky Mountain Gold Dust. If you want something different you should try it out. I think it's better than McCormicks but that is all a matter of opinion. If you guys are interested in some, PM me and I might be able to extend some sort of discount your way...

I could use a good marinade....but I tend to enjoy my steaks NAKED!
It is a dry rub... I am actually in the process of making a marinade, but I have yet to perfect it so I wouldn't dare sell it.
