Q: Are you supposed to tip the Sonic carhops?

That's a great answer! I don't understand people that don't tip. Then they use the lame excuse like, "I didn't tell them to work as a waitress/bartender/carhop/etc." ...as if they are less of a person because of the type of job they have. Anyone who uses THAT excuse not to tip is a loser, PERIOD.

 

And you can sit it your vehicle, eat, and then give your trash back to them! Tip a dollar. If you can't, save your money and go to Sonic only when you CAN afford to tip a dollar. It won't kill you.

 

I generally tip them. Maybe $1 or $2.
