    Well Ive noticed that if you get them from a place on the side of the street...... there alwasy the best. especially in GA

    Never tried them until a couple of years ago when a friend from Georgia was always talking about them so I decide to take a shot at making them for her.
    Internet searches found lots of recipes.
    Here is the basic one I used.
    Big pot.
    Raw peanuts in the shell.
    Water.
    Salt.
    1 quart of water and 1/4 cup of salt for every pound of peanuts.
    Bring to a boil, cover and simmer until tender.
    About 2 hours if I remember.
    You can add spices in the water for different results such as cajun.
    Hardest part was finding RAW peanuts here in Kalifornia.

    x2 theres a little place right up the road and there great....mom makes some good ones to but the store's are alot better

    The best ones are when they are still growing so that they can absorb the liquid... (thin shell)

    roasting ones are with the thick shell
