I picked up all the stuff yesterday to wire the 240v plug and additional 30A breaker for the welder.

I also picked up 15ft of 10AWG "extension cord" wire to replace the 5ft 10AWG cord that came on the welder. Now I can move it around the garage and even reach outside to the driveway if needed. I'm mounting the outlet directly below my breaker planel which is about halfway down the sidewall of my garage. I'll wire up the new breaker and outlet sometime this weekend when there is daylight outside since I'll have to turn off the main breaker.

Cross my fingers, I should be able to fire it up this weekend!

Not too sure the exact number but just get a pretty coarse one and be careful. It is pretty hard to gouge a surface with a flap wheel unless you're retarded

New breaker and 240V plug are wired up in the garage. Now I just need some free time to fire this thing up and start practicing. Gaahhhh so busy lately.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
    Welcome!

I'm no Tig welder :( But I do know you want Gold. Rainbow is not bad but if you start seeing other colors you are either moving to fast, going to far, or need a bigger cup on your tip IIRC.

How come there isn't the same heat (bluing) penetration around the whole weld? Sure looks good though.
