You know I read that wrong. Yeah they drilled holes in the block and the grey dimple board channels the water to the piping in case of the block fill up with water. You can see it in the picture where the block meets the floor.

anyone have any experience with free online landscaping design tools? or any experience in landscape design? we want to fix up the front of our house, rip out the builder's crap plants that lived for only a few months after we moved in and put in something nicer looking.

Do not be in a hurray. Take your time and look at maintenance as well as watering. I would also urge you to look at native species plants/shrubs.

Graph paper works really well when you are looking at the area needed for fully grown plants.

You are right on with that ... "YES" ... Mr. OZ-T ... :D ...... I have bitten off a lot in this 13 year remodel job and my bones are started to ache.

Got a price from the 1st sheetrock installer today = $40.00 per 4'x12'x1/2' sheetrock (includes all materials, installation and finishing). Not sure if he glues it and I wanted it screwed, so that will probably be extra. That price seems low to me or am I out of touch? ..... 83 cents a sq. ft. seems like a good deal for competed job (simple garage & 2 utility rooms) with no high ceiling, etc.

Found a good electrician for $30.00 an hour for the difficult stuff - have to do fast stuff like new service panels & etc.. I will do all the light electrical, boxes, switches & et.

Now, I need to find some great "hardwood floor" guys. Have about 3,500 sq. ft. x 3/4" to do. Anybody know some good "hardwood floor' guys in Atlanta area that work on their days off or need fill it work? I can do all the trim work.

I can work with any of these guys on their slow days or days off (rainy day - fill work for them).

This is my last big job and I will have a lot of good tools (some unused to sell to the local guys) when I am finished.

Oh ... One last thing .... I need a buy good "JAMB SAW" ... any recommendations or do & don't with this tool ... never driven one of these ??

You guys do some excellent work and all of your advice & wisdom is great appreciated. ... :)

PS ... I miss my Tacoma ... and will probably go back to one soon. The Ridgeline is OK ... just too
big & bulky ... but great for a bigger family.

PPS ... Over th past few years I have sold a bunch of things including 2 trucks, misc. parts & etc on here without an ad ... and all were very happy with their deals.

Does anyone know of a system that can act as an on demand hot water heater as well as system to run radiant heat? I think they exist just don't know anything about them.

    .

I really need a "jamb saw" with a 6" to 7" circular saw type blade on its side like a Norge or a Crain (sideways circular saw).

I have a "plunge saw" like the Fein Taskmaster ... but mine are the lesser versions like Rockwell and Dremel for small things.

I need to cut from 1/2" to 3/4" (depending on what plywood thickness that I add to the existing floor) around all the base and all the door jambs in the house.

I have never used a "circular saw type jamb saw" and was wondering who has used one and your experiences and what grade you like. Are they hard to get into tight 90 degree corners and etc ?? Do I need a large blade saw for straight runs and a small blade saw for tight corners ??

Two companies make a reciprocating "Japanese type" jamb saw (mainly for door casings) but I need somethings to buzz off a small piece around the whole house.

Any suggestions and/or experiences from anyone would help. ... :D

Thanks again for all of your advice .... :D

PS ... I am looking at Norge & Crain now.

PPS ... My buddy had a Fein Taskmaster and loves it. But he spends a lot of $$$ and buys Fein brand all the time.

Why cant you use your multimaster to cut the jambs ?

I can and did that on the last house, but it took forever.

Also, I want to add another floor layer 1/2" to 3/4" .... and put 3/4" hardwood on top, so I need a soooooth and super straight cut line (especially in the door ways.).

I don't think that I could ever get that good (straight & level) of a cut with a "plunge saw".

You use a scrap of whatever material thickness you are going to add , put that on the floor next to the jamb , use it as a guide for the saw , fits perfect

PS .... I saw a guy tape wax paper next to the wall around the whole inside perimeter of a house in So Cal.

Then he started a big "circular jamp saw" and did the whole house super fast and super accurate without a scratch on the floor.

I wish I would have watched him closer and ask a lot of questions.

But, this was 20 years years ago in a So Cal fancy house and he was getting $4K just to match and hang a single 3'-0" bedroom door in this fancy house.

With a multimaster style tool , just make sure you hold the blade flat on the scrap
