how tight is it supposed to be. I put a pipe wrench on the large threads and a crescent to that nut with the red arrow and that nut will not budge I'm afraid of breaking something It just wont loosen.

Its seized. Get a hammer and a sawzall.

That's a single piece of wood , ripped into 3 3/8"x 3/8" strips reassembled in the order they came out of the original board with glue using the wall where it will be installed as the form in this case

 

3 ply curved baseboard fitted , glued and installed , that only took me most of the day

Nice shed. I built the same design about 4 years ago, it seems, in an 8X12 configuration, It really holds all the patio furniture along with my non powered garden tools, bikes, winter tires, and pond tools. You will love the taller design of the building.

This is my finished shed. Today it looks the way I wanted it to look when built.

Oh oh. I think I see a little gap!

 

I love odd shapes, ceilings and lines in a home. It has so much more character and appeal over a cookie cutter layout. Curves have an amazing effect on rooms, and furniture. And even more so after you have to build them. Building something that's square seems hard enough for some people.

I'm putting together a bid and drawings for a library and the room has no character to build off of which is a shame.

 

way too many things. I am about to install a fence in the back yard. should be lots of fun and money...

 

Steam bending and laminations both have there place. Complex rocking chairs are some times built with both processes. Formed laminations for the rocker and backrest and steamed parts for the rest of the back. And many woods even steamed will only bend so far.

 

That was just a dry run to make sure my lamination thickness would work and come up with a clamping strategy , those are just scraps

 

My place has a bunch of weird shit partially because it made it fun , and you don't always get to do these things on clients' houses because they don't want to pay for the labour and partially because when I was drawing the plans I thought of every funky thing I've always wanted to try and managed to get it into the house plan somewhere

 

Good stuff OZ. Are you forming the basecap there?... then rout the profile later when dry?

There is no profile , my trims are Craftsman style , square edge stock in varying sizes

My stacked curved stairs are right there , beyond the wall on the left is the stairs going up , to the right the stairs go down
