I've always used a coping saw.

 

I use a jigsaw , coping saw , belt sander , rasp , sandpaper

What ever fits the profile best

Do you use a jig when you use your jigsaw? I've never used mine to cut crown, chair and floor trim yes but it always looked like such a pain on crown.

Sidenote. Rockwell sander parts no longer exist. Ordering the mikita next week, only thing I wanted was to see one in person first but no one stocks them anywhere nearby.

Tools like this were made for apprentices.

 

No jig

 

Well I got this much tore out. Now need to fix the new doorframe before I put more plywood down.

 

Put a ground seal in

 

Yea I'm putting it in as I go. The most forward in pic is pretty solid osb but it's still osb and it's all coming out.

 

Most of your problem with the OSB subfloor is probably down to the lack of a ground seal

 

That and the rain seeping in at sides. That's the first thing I fixed by bldg covers on back and side. Still want to bld one on left side but patio has a good slope to it but theres still damage just not as much.

Complete remodel on the kitchen. Past two weekends, have removed all the cabinets and appliances, rewired the kitchen to facilitate recessed lighting, under cabinet LEDs, and moved the dishwasher on to its own circuit with no switch (direct hardwired). The old location had a switch that controlled power to the dishwasher (quite annoying).

Throughout the week, the wife and I will finish hanging the drywall, mud and paint. The plan is to also remove all the linoleum flooring and hammer down a good subfloor that we can tile over; which wont happen for a month or two.

Get everything set and hopefully start hanging cabinets this coming weekend to facilitate the granite counter top template. No major snags yet and none too foreseeable. Will surely be coping the crown molding for the cabinets!

 

The dishwasher switch is required by code here. As well as a vacuum break and its own supply shutoff valve. I just mounted my switch up out of the way to avoid accidental shutoffs

Now you have me curious on if I messed up the wiring by removing the electrical shutoff switch. I am doing research and can't seem to find a clear answer on if you need an electrical shutoff for a hardwired dishwasher that is on a dedicated circuit that is GFCI protected (in Massachusetts). I understand they are used as a service safety switch or to make sure a kid can't turn it on, but I had never seen a house that had a switch before buying this one.

I have a water shutoff within 4', so no problems there. Interesting....may have to make a few calls.

 

I've never seen a switch for a dishwasher before. Mine isnt even on a dedicated circuit.

Not saying mine is correct though.
