Sanded and spackled some more today. I'm hoping tomorrow I can sand then prime.

Sanded, spackled a little more, and with the help from a few space heaters, it dried in time for me to be able to prime before going to work. Hopefully I'll be able to get another coat of primer on it tonight and then paint tomorrow morning.

First post in here, hoping you can all share some expertise. We bought a house in January and are loving it. I want to throw these pics out for all of you to look at. There will be more, as I have plans for the back yard etc. I am pretty damn handy with tools and the like, but scared out of my mind to mess up my new home.

These are my dining room windows, they face east.

Its hard to tell but the top of the window that goes up and down is quite bowed it. The window itself seems to not go all the way down for it to latch. You have to push down pretty hard then latch it under the ledge, and it leaves the top bowed like in the pictures.

The window isn't very hard to move up and down, it just doesn't seat well.

    What could be the issue?

The caulk around the window is cracked. Has there been settling or shifting of the window? That would cause problems.

There is settling in 1 window of the house, but it is on the west side of the house, not near this window.

The house is solid. I wonder if these are just cheap windows.

I will try pushing up the top window tonight and see what happens.

There was about 13" of snow this year, but these windows were doing this previous to that.

Good to know. How does it do if you don't use it all? Can you leave it in a bucket with plastic over it and a lid? Or does it dry out like that too? (Assuming it's only until your last coat dries and is ready for another coat)

Nice. But vines just fuck up trellises. They should plant some shrubs instead.

No where to plant shrubs , it's a cliff

We're just going to have enough soil for the vines

Well there's your problem. Convince him he needs to cantilever a planting box out over the cliff...
